Villa with a Marble Papal Crest REF.18 |
This villa was erected in 1667 by pope Clement IX. The design of buiding is attribuited to the Bernini school. The edifice comprises a square central black and two side wings, and is on three floors. The entrance to the villa, preceded by a long avenue lined with two rows of holm-oaks, consists of two stone doorways surmonted by a marble papal crest. The large garden has on extensive lawn at the front with a pool at its centre. |
